ACCO's mission of musical excellence and creation of community has led the group to a repertoire of songs celebrating women's music, music of peace and social justice and music from traditions around the world. In addition to the group's performances, ACCO also sponsors and participates in special community arts events.  For example, in the spring of 2003,  2004,  and 2005, ACCO sponsored Lehigh Valley community's "Gather the Women".  This is an international event, where women of different cultures and locations come together in "circles" to celebrate womanhood, at the same time, same day, all around the world; a truly inspiring event.   ACCO hopes to be able to provide this event to the Lehigh Valley on an annual basis.  In the past, ACCO has also helped bring well-known artists, such as world renowned percussionist, Paolo Mattioli, with whom they collaborated in Mayfair and Musikfest, 2003.  In the Fall of 2003, and again in 2007, ACCO was honored to host a drum with Ubaka Hill.  The participants were infected with Ubaka's energy and alive with song, drums and dancing.  ACCO was asked to sing backup on the song, "I Doubt It", on Zen For Primates' 2007 CD, "Mary Anne's Dead Husband Was My Stella Novagratz", and we proudly performed with them at Godfrey Daniels and at the Zipper Factory in NYC.  Future collaborations are planned, with national artists  such as these, and local artists such as Anne Hills.
